Coach Britt Cornaby begins his 4th year as varsity head coach and his 5th season overall with the Centennial Patriots. Coach Cornaby took over for John Andrysiak in 2010 after leading the 2009 Centennial JV team to a TVLL Championship. In his first 3 years as varsity coach Centennial has made the TVLL Championship game twice (’00 & ’01) with a 70% win percentage and 50-21 record. Coach Cornaby was named the 2011 US Lacrosse Idaho Coach of the Year and is a US Lacrosse CEP Level 2 certified coach.
The Centennial Patriots finished the 2011 season with 17-5 record and lost 8-7 in OT to Timberline in the TVLL Championship game. The Patriots finished the 2011 season ranked #2 in Idaho and #94 in the West by Laxpower.
Coach Cornaby is very active in the Treasure Valley Lacrosse League (TVLL) and helping develop the high school lacrosse community in Boise and Idaho in general. He and Jennifer Gravel have been instrumental in working with the Boise Parks department to develop the Charles McDevitt Youth Sports Complex Lacrosse Fields proposal. Coach Cornaby serves as the US Lacrosse High School Area Chair for Idaho.
Britt Cornaby is the co-founder of the Boise Invitational a lacrosse event that brings together some of the best high school lacrosse teams in the Western United States. He is also the co-owner of the Idaho Lacrosse News website www.idaholacrossenews.com.
Coach Cornaby is a graduate (’89) of Dublin High School; one of the best lacrosse programs in Ohio and the United States. He was a 3 year letter winner and was named a 2nd team All-Ohio Midfielder his senior year. Coach Cornaby was a starting midfield/attack at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT (‘90, 93-95) and Utah Valley University (’00). He received 1st Team Attack Honors in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse Conference (RMLC) in 2000 and was the leading scorer in the RMLC with 71 points. Coach Cornaby was player-coach in 2000 and co-head coach in 2001 for the Utah Valley Wolverines. UVU finished as the RMLC D2 Champions in ’00 and ‘01 and were undefeated in division both years. Utah Valley finished the 2001 season ranked #24 in the USLIA by Laxpower.
Coach Cornaby has an overall coaching record of 68 win with 32 losses.
Britt Cornaby is married to Nicole Clement and they have a daughter, Avery Cornaby.
